headlight mod

Postby ca94cr250 on Tue Nov 10, 2009 3:44 pm

I have a 92 Nissan 240sx .. I am trying to make the headlights to where they stay up a little bit , I have already adjusted the knobs and got them where I wanted them . But whenever I turn the headlights on and then off , it goes back to the factory position . Is there another step that I am missing here to keep them where I want them when the lights are off??

Too much trouble IMO. Cutting the Brown wire behind the swtich that makes them pop up is much simpler and easier.

yeah brown wire cut is easy...but if you want lit sleepy eyes theres a walkthrough on 240sx.org but all you need is a few blade connectors, little wire and a switch

http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=200234

I did it with my old red one exactly how it says and it was pretty easy...I put the switch under the dash in the footwell area so it was hidden though, other time it was on the console cause someone else had done it

I think that your 240 looks pretty clean with it conedodger .. (i love the white too :D its so clean) .I can say i have seen a few that i thought didnt though. I guess it all just depends on the setup , wheels , lowering etc etc ... But i guess if all of us did the same thing to our cars , it would just get boring checkin out the same thing over and over . ;)

when i cut my black wire. I just turn my lights on and they don't move until I pull the handle on my combination switch back. I think bumping the brights makes the headlights pop back up for me. done that with the last 3 cars.

I like the sleepy eye look as well. I have been trying to get Grant to do it since 98. I may just have pop up envy though.

Pull out the manual headlight popper, cut the brown wire. Turn the head lights on. Tap the manual botton once. Turn the head lights off using the steering collum switch; they should stay up but the lights turn off. Double tap the manual button untill desired height is achived.

Thank you Thank you.
